London, a city that has for everyone something
As I wrote already a couple of days ago, yesterday we went to The Proms. After our working day we rushed to have some food and went to the tube. South Kensington was the station to be, after that a short walk followed and we arrived to the Royal Albert Hall, which is an amazingly nice big building! Nice to see, we didn’t take pictures of it, but I will try to make sure later on to go and take some of them so you have the idea of it
After queuing for 400m we could finaly enter the place, btw in case you are planning to go to England ever, queuing is important here. It is a not done thing to go and stand just inside the queu, no you just enter at the back and wait untill it is your turn!
So after enterig we were amazed by the Hall, which is like most things here, something that seems to be straight from the movies. Actually what I should say, something that can be used in the movies
Some pictures are in my Picture page and as you can see it looks fabulous! And to let you know, the bleu balloons (which look nice) are served to improve the accoustics of the hall. Well done e!
During the concert everybody was quiet, it was totally different from The Night of the Proms in Belgium, but we could properly enjoy as well! Can you imagine that there was a note in the program booklet that because BBC four was recording, we should be carefull with coughing, to do it as silent as possible. But that we managed!
When leaving the place, we were totally surprised to see nice cars. We were in the diplomatic area so maybe not so surprising… but we managed to take a nice picture of a Ferrari
As standing up for a couple of hours is tiresome, it was a nice moment when arriving at the hotel, knowing that finally time to sleep was there
Oh, for your information some tips from our site to visit whenever you go to London
- Nothing Hill (they have big villa’s and a secured street, but also a yoghurt bar FRAE)
- Regent’s Parc (you can just go for a picnic and enjoy people playing baseball, football, enjoying themselves or you can go for a run and in one of the parcs of London even for a swim!)
- Brittish Museum (to have lunch inside, but bring your own, since inside it might be expensive.. we will inform you later when we have done it
) - …
As you can notice, there is for everyone something from a nice concert, to a nice parc, or even seeing by accident nice cars
Soon more will follow, but meanwhile if you have some hints for us?
